30 is the new 20

I turned 27 today. Fuck. Growing up I had always thought that my life would end up falling into place as I had wanted it to. If my life were to be what I had "planned" when I was a senior in high school I would be; graduated from college, have a career, married, have at least 1 kid, own a house, and be living the perfect life. Well as of April 30th 2009 I have accomplished one of those, I graduated college. I have no idea where my life is headed and I am nowhere near getting married. I really don't even talk to girls What is a girl? More importantly where do I meet them? Plus I tend to date sluts. Not by choice. Over the last 8-9 months I have gone from being happy that I finally graduated to being frustrated in not being able to land a job with the various places I applied (most of them I did not have enough experience. No shit I was in college) to finally realizing that this is it, this is life. No one ever said that you had to get married or own a house by a certain age. I am realizing that these are goals of mine and that I will get there but I am taking the long road. Some people get there sooner than others, but at this point in time I believe that I do not have that because I am not quite ready for all of "it". When will I be? No clue, but it is on my to-do list. Along with applying to go back to school and starting my own business by the end of the year. We will see what happens.

Like my little brother said to me today, "20 is the new 30, oh wait 30 is the new 20, or whatever the fuck it is."

NCAA Tourney

March Madness has come and gone and it has left us with a new college basketball champion, UNC. I love watching the NCAA tournament. This year I filled out a bracket online through channel 8 and I would like to say that I did pretty damn good. I had 3 out of the final four, I had UCLA in there instead of Villanova and, but I did pick the championship game correctly. I also chose North Carolina to win it all. I am proud of myself, I placed 7th out of over 1,000 people.

Well if you are not too familiar with me, here is something that I cannot live without; movie watching. I love watching movies, all types; comedy, drama, documentary, indie, but not too many horror flick. Well anyway, I have watched this preview because I think it is going to be a very good movie. There are also a couple of other ones out there that I really want to check out and here are a couple clips of movies that are already out and some that are going to come out. Enjoy.

Wait. What?

I have been teaching Spanish part-time since January at a charter school. It had been going ok, a few of the kids were very disruptive, bu then again they are high school students. The way I "thrown into" this job was a little odd. I got the job mid school year. My boss at my other job had been teaching that job but decided to give it up because she had a lot of other things going on. So I taught my class on Tuesday and had to talk to one of the main people at the school after my class. 10 seconds later I was out of a job. They had to lay me off because of budget problems. They had to lay off 15 part time workers due to this problem. Sucks. Plus, who lays off a Spanish teacher on Cesar Chavez Day?

I went to Panera after work in the morning because I wanted some of their bomb soup. I got the cup of soup with the 1/2 sandwich and of course it had to be the tuna sandwich. Their tuna recipe by the way is also pretty damn delicious. I had a good lunch. Only thing that made met think was the order number they gave me to put at my table for when they deliver you the food. I got "187"

So I guess I should do a little cliff notes version of my life since my last thorough blog on here, which is from January 2008.

- I stopped liking the girl that I had a crush on.
- Started an internship with the International Rescue Committee, which I would go on to enjoy a lot.

- The old crush would end up getting an internship at the same place.
- Oh and she decided to keep taking classes with me and enrolled in another one with me.
- Ironically I met another girl in that class, a beautiful one at that. The irony is that they knew each other from high school.
- I got hit by a car while riding my bike. Not much damage; just bruises, scrapes, and an ambulance ride to the ER.
- Had a first kiss with the beautiful girl.
- Graduated from college.





- Things started falling apart with the beautiful girl.
- Things fell apart with that girl, who would become a bitch.
- Started working as a private investigator.
- Quit that job because it sucked balls.
- I also quit the job that I had been working at for 2 years because of the bullshit raise they gave me.
- Started another job that is still super fun to work at.
- The bitch would become beautiful again and came back into my life.
- I picked up a 2nd part time job.
- She went back to bitch status.
- Went over 2,000 views on my other (MySpace) blog.
- Won a photography contest on www.GrnAppleTree.com My photograph will be used on a grnappletree t-shirt coming up.



- Have been considering going to art school due to the fact that art is one of the very few things I actually love and have wanted to do since I was a child.



- Found out my "little brother" and his girlfriend are expecting a child.
- Have since then started calling my little brother "Paulie Bleeker"
